Course description
This course is for postgraduate students who are speakers of English as a second language. It seeks to develop writing competence in academic English at the postgraduate level, and it is especially aimed at students who are planning on writing extended research papers and theses. Students will review articles relevant to their research in order to understand the writing conventions of their own discipline. They will work to develop skills in research writing, and work towards the completion of a long paper that can be used as a journal article or a thesis chapter.
