Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any field with a grade point average of 4.5 OR relevant work experience and/or other qualifications.

Additional application information

Writing, Editing and Publishing requires a portfolio of written work. The portfolio should include approximately 10-12 wordprocessed pages of writing (eg. assignments submitted in previous courses, workplace documents, creative writing manuscripts).Writing, Editing and Publishing can be completed full time in semester one (when all four compulsory courses are offered). Part time students can enrol in one or more of the four courses, but should contact the convenor, Dr Roslyn Petelin, for program advice.
The fields of study in Applied and Local History, Ethics, Ancient History, Australian Studies, History, Philosophy, Shakespeare Studies and Studies in Religion are not available to international students.

The Graduate Certificate in Arts provides analytical and research skills which are valuable to students in all their professional activities. The program provides a pathway to the Graduate Diploma and Master of Arts in the chosen field of study.

To complete the Graduate Certificate in Arts

To fulfil the requirements of the Graduate Certificate in Arts, a student must complete the requisite number of courses chosen from the course list in accordance with the Program Rules.

A student is required to obtain #8 from the GCArts List in the chosen field.
