Course description

This course will consolidate midwifery practice skills learned in Year 1 of the program and increase the development of woman centred midwifery care skills. Care of the woman, family and fetus during labour and birth complicated by medical conditions is the focus of this course. Students will be assessed for clinical competence in a simulated classroom and maintain an ePortfolio of evidence in the acquisition of skill based assessments in practice. Ongoing achievement of midwifery practice experiences (MPEs) is mandatory.
