Course description
The focus of this course is two-fold. You will gain sound knowledge of: 1. Medical and surgical treatments as they apply to the majority of skin cancer presentations in the Primary Care arena. This includes medications, cryotherapy, curettage, biopsy techniques and excision of skin lesions with direct repair. 2. The therapeutic relationship, which includes educating patients (and colleagues) about skin cancer and knowing when to refer cases to ensure appropriate patient care.
