Why study the Graduate Certificate in Mental Health?
This program provides health professionals with a knowledge base relevant to the provision of mental health services in their practice environments. Learning activities consist of a systematic reading program, weekly tutorials and intensive workshops (8 days per semester). The University will link remote students to tutorials by telephone or video conference but all students must attend 2 blocks (5 days and 3 days) of workshops each semester.
As this program does not meet the visa requirements for international students, prospective international students should consider the Master of Mental Health.
The course list for the Graduate Certificate comprises four mandatory courses which are also in the Master of Mental Health. Students who successfully complete the Graduate Certificate can have these courses credited toward a Master of Mental Health if they wish to continue their studies and are admitted to that program.
