- a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in health or social work, plus 1 years full-time equivalent relevant work experience in a mental health setting, or
- a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in any discipline, plus 2 year full-time equivalent relevant work experience in a mental health setting, or
- to have completed post-secondary studies and have 5 years full-time equivalent, relevant work experience in a mental health setting.
Applications based on post-secondary study and work experience will be assessed individually.
You must have a grade point average (GPA) of 4.0 on a 7-point scale in your previous qualification.

Why study the Graduate Certificate in Mental Health?
This program provides health professionals with a knowledge base relevant to the provision of mental health services in their practice environments. Learning activities consist of a systematic reading program, weekly tutorials and intensive workshops. Students may participate in tutorials via telephone or video conference, but must attend 2 blocks (5 days and 3 days) of workshops on campus each semester. As this program does not satisfy student visa requirements, prospective international students should consider the Master of Mental Health.

To complete the Graduate Certificate in Mental Health
To graduate with a Graduate Certificate in Mental Health a student must have successfully completed all requirements of the program as certified by the Executive Dean. This includes courses to be taken to complete the program and any other specific conditions of the program including admission, enrolment and progression requirements.
