Why study the Bachelor of Biotechnology?
Study a Bachelor of Biotechnology to develop the skills and knowledge needed to translate innovative scientific ideas into commercially viable solutions.
You will combine theory and practice to examine biotechnology's varied applications, from antibody engineering to fight disease, genetic plant engineering to increase agricultural yields, vaccine design, cell and tissue culture technologies, and more.
Deepen your understanding of the key issues within biotechnology such as intellectual property, regulatory compliance, quality assurance and quality control. Learn to apply Quality Management Systems in Biotechnology so that products and technologies are safe and reproducible.
You will learn how to assess the market potential and financial viability of new products or technical services such as vaccines, diagnostics, biopharmaceutical drugs, transgenic plants or innovations in stem cell therapy.

Program rules for the Bachelor of Biotechnology
To complete the Bachelor of Biotechnology
To graduate with a Bachelor of Biotechnology a student must have successfully completed all requirements of the program as certified by the Executive Dean. This includes courses to be taken to complete the program and any other specific conditions of the program including admission, enrolment and progression requirements.
