The Bachelor of Commerce program prepares you for a career in accounting, banking, financial management, information systems, business analytics and management.
Compulsory courses will build a solid foundation of business skills that you will apply to many decisions and issues in the contemporary business environment. These core skills are further developed in your second and third years as you specialise by undertaking one or two majors.
Completing the accounting major allows students to apply for associate membership of the professional accounting bodies.

RBUS3999 is a Work Integrated Learning (WIL) course that provides you with the opportunity to apply theoretical and conceptual knowledge to the workplace via a professional placement. The course is particularly focused on enabling you to develop employability skills, gain workplace knowledge, understand the attitudes of working professionals, grow a professional network, and engage with real world business issues.

Program rules for the Bachelor of Commerce
To complete the Bachelor of Commerce
To fulfil the requirements of the Bachelor of Commerce, a student must complete the requisite number of courses chosen from the course list in accordance with the Program Rules.
A student must complete 48 units from the BCom course list, comprising -
- (a) 16 units for part A; and
- (b) 16 units for a major; and
- (c) either -
- (i) 16 units for a second major; or
- (ii) 16 units of general elective courses.
