Why study Writing?
There's a knack to writing words that people love to read ' and that's what this major will help you achieve. Writing well is both an art and a science. You will develop a fundamental and substantial understanding of how language works at the word, sentence, paragraph, story and document level. You will learn about storytelling in fictional and nonfictional contexts, and how to craft evocative images and unforgettable lines. You will learn strategies for brainstorming, designing, writing and editing, on paper and online. Whether you are aiming to captivate readers through plotting and world-building, or engage corporate audiences with crisp clean prose, this major will help your voice be heard.
