Why study Parks and Wildlife Management?
This program targets students interested in natural resource management. The courses provide a balance between the conservation strategies for our natural environments (including marine) and wildlife management. This extended major is designed for students seeking careers in the conservation industry and addresses the community demand for protected area and wildlife management professionals. The program emphasises natural sciences and problem solving, developing your understanding of contemporary management approaches to the conservation of natural and cultural resources. This major covers landscape and marine conservation stratagies, and wildlife management. It will provide you with the skills and perspectives necessary to address complex conservation issues within the context of socio-economic and political expectations.
