Course description
An introduction to a range of written and oral professional communication skills, including the importance of the human-animal bond, research applications of legislation relevant to the animal industries; examination & evaluation of ethical standards. Evaluation of industry & professional organisations & their roles.Management of the day to day operations of a business focusing on policies and procedures, organizational structure, and recruitment processes. Career preparation and planning will also be included. As well as, introductory clinical content that will assist students in preparing for Extra Mural Studies (EMS) and as a prelude to the clinical courses in Year 2 of the Veterinary Technology program.
