Course description

Students in this course respond creatively to international urban design and development scenarios, undertaking research and design in relation to responsive environments. The course maintains a strong focus on environmental and social sustainability and the accelerating emergence of megacities in our region. Students will explore concepts of globalisation, climate change, and migration and their effects on the design and development of cities. The role of urban design and development to promote and facilitate liveability for growing populations in the era of climate change will be a central theme.
