Course description
The course examines the design and management principles and practices of sustainable visitor experiences in tourism, hospitality and event operations and destinations. It will examine settings ranging from the global to local landscapes, streetscapes and servicescapes. Topics include visitor motives, decision making and behaviour; the experience economy; designing and staging experiences; orientation and place making; interpretation and visitor learning; and cross-cultural and social interactions.
