Course description
Second supervised practice experience in a social welfare agency. The course focuses on integration of practice experience with course material and companion courses. As a result of the impact of COVID-19 the Australian Association of Social Workers has adjusted the number of required field experience hours by 20%. Therefore in 2020 most (although not all) placements will run for 400 hours (approximately 15 weeks at 4 days per week), starting 2 weeks before beginning of semester. In addition, students must attend a mandatory pre-placement workshop prior to placement commencing, and two integration workshops. In semester 2 2020 these workshops will be conducted via Zoom. Please note that supplementary assessment is not available for this course. This course is for students who started the Bachelor of Social Work from 2011. Students who started before 2011 enrol in SWSP4088.
