Course description
This foundation course provides students with an introduction to the profession of speech pathology. Topics included relate to ethical practice, professional conduct, self-reflection and lifelong learning and communication. Students are introduced to person and family centredness, the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health, the principles of cultural and linguistic responsiveness and inter-professionalism and participate in professional skill development through a simulated patient clinic.
