Course description
This course will consolidate and build on the skills acquired in SPAN2010 and it will prepare students for further study and experiences with Spanish-speaking communities, here and around the world. While speaking and listening will continue to be the primary focus of our activities, there will be an additional focus on reading and writing and development of critical intercultural awareness. SPAN2020 will progress students¿ proficiency towards the consolidation of the "B1.2 Threshold" level of linguistic competency described on the internationally recognised Common European Frame of Reference language proficiency scale, against which all of our language courses are benchmarked, and, in so doing, prepare them to undertake Spanish study at Upper Intermediate/Advanced Level (SPAN3110 and SPAN3120, B2) - Click to self-assess your CEFR level.
