Course description
This course is an introduction to the development of second language reading skills with a particular focus on the role of vocabulary in skilled reading. Basic reading processes will be presented and compared across alphabet and character-based languages. Implications for teaching reading will be discussed for traditional and computer-mediated learning contexts. This course may be cancelled if there are fewer than 20 enrolments.
