Examination, assignments and participation. 1. Completion of 200 hours of workplace practicum. Mid and end of semester placement reports to be completed by onsite supervisors. Reflective journal completed weekly. Logs of contact and non-contact hours to be completed by student and sighted by onsite and UQ supervisors. 50% 2. Presentation of a case study in written format based on clinical placement. 50%

Course description
This Practicum course provides the opportunity to develop clinical skills in treatment settings. The emphasis of the first placement is assessment of mental health issues including conducting a MSE, and developing formulations and treatment plans. An emphasis is on students demonstrating effective therapeutic engagement with clients. Art Therapy Field of Study requirements will be met by this course.
