Course description
The dissertation allows students to consolidate and extend the knowledge and skills acquired during the coursework and apply these in a practical way in a public health setting. It can form the basis of a paper publishable in a major public health journal. Before enrolling students must obtain permission from the program coordinator and achieved a minimum GPA of 5.5 across at least 8 units of coursework, including at least 4 units from Part A. Students completing dissertations are unlikely to have their degree conferred until the end of the semester following submission of their dissertation.
This course code is for the year-long part-time dissertation which is commenced in Semester 1 and completed in Semester 2 of the same year. Full-time students should enrol in PUBH7950. Part-time students commencing in semester 2 should enrol in PUBH7957.
