Course description
This course provides students with the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of the theoretical & research basis of current issues in psychology. The psychology area covered will vary from year to year.
2016 Topic Great Ideas and People in Psychology. In this course you'll get up close and personal with some of the great minds in psychology of the past century or so. You'll read the actual works of William James, Sigmund Freud, B.F. Skinner, and Steven Pinker, as well as others who are less well known. Each week will include an interactive lecture and discussion of ideas covering the entire range of psychology, from perception to clinical psychology to neuroscience and everything in between.
