Course description
This course provides an introduction to the varied approaches to social science research, comparing different theoretical perspectives on the research process and their methodological implications. It addresses the relative merits of quantitative and qualitative research methods and examines approaches to comparative research. The overall aim is to develop the ability to make informed methodological choices and critically interpret published social research.
