Course description
The aim of this course is to introduce students to the purpose, theory and practice of planning and to show how and why it has developed into a recognised professional activity. The course is structured around an exploration of recent approaches to planning theory, and how they have given shape to planning practice. It also considers the professional status of planning and the ethical standards of the profession.
