Course description

This course is the first of four clinical courses in the MNursSt which has the overall aim of developing students' competency in relation to the Australian National Competency Standards for the Registered Nurse. In addition, students are expected to incorporate and display UQ graduate attributes in their practice. During the preceptored clinical experiences, students will have an opportunity to apply theoretical concepts and the interpersonal, clinical assessment and clinical intervention skills learnt in the weekly clinical skills sessions in this course. The focus of the clinical practice is to develop evidence based nursing care.
