Module description
This Short Form Credential (SFC) will provide the knowledge and skills to evaluate underground drilling and blasting practices, identify vulnerabilities in design and implementation; and support the development of continuous improvement strategies. The course will cover important fundamentals in a practical way with assessment designed to support the implementation of leading Drilling and Blasting practices in underground operations; prioritising safety, maximising productivity and enhancing the value and sustainability of underground mining operations. This course assumes a basic understanding of general underground mining concepts; some familiarity with underground mining methods and key operational aspects applied in development and production.
