Course description

This course will consolidate midwifery practice skills developed in Year 1, further enhancing students¿ ability to provide woman-centred midwifery care. The focus is on managing pregnancy, labour and birth complicated by medical conditions, including hypertension. Students will be assessed for clinical competence in a simulated environment and will maintain an ePortfolio documenting their skill-based assessments in practice. Ongoing achievement of midwifery practice experiences (MPEs) is a mandatory requirement.
