Course description
This course introduces students to issues related to physiological adaptation to major haemorrhage and trauma generally and specifically when considering the physiological circulatory adaptations of pregnancy. Students will learn about the major causes of maternal compromise in pregnancy, including classification and definition of antenatal and postnatal haemorrhage. Students will also learn about the national and international health priority of injury prevention and will learn about car safety for pregnant women, infants and children.
