Course description
This course introduces students to the fundamental concepts necessary for an understanding of the ethical basis of medical practice, medical professionalism, and the legal framework in which medicine is practised. The lectures introduce a number of ethical theories and frameworks that underpin the provision of excellent patient care. The course covers the principles of values-based medicine and the role of regulation in professional practice.
