Course description
This is a 16 unit, year-long course that is focused on the foundational knowledge, skills and insights needed to thrive in the UQ MD program. This fully integrated course will be scaffolded in a stage appropriate way with clearly stated outcomes and standards to be achieved in support of learning. The course material will include: roles and responsibilities of doctors in society and within the healthcare system; foundational medical, health, social and human sciences; foundational skills for clinical practice; and cultural and ethical awareness and professionalism.
