Course description
Vector calculus, arc-length, line integrals, applications. Calculus of 2 and; 3 variables: partial derivatives, conservative fields, maxima ; minima. 1st order ; linear 2nd order differential equations (constant coefficients). Applications (dynamical systems etc), numerical methods for non-linear equations and differential equations. Introduction to mathematical modelling and programming. (MATH1072 can be studied concurrently with MATH1051)
