Course description

This course focuses on Low B1 level (Independent User) on CEFR language proficiency scale, especially on developing aural/oral skills (listening and speaking) of Korean language up to High B1 level (Independent User), while maintaining the balance in the development of speaking/listening, reading, writing, and cultural competence. It introduces real life situations in the Korean context and provides intercultural communication skills through the study of adapted and authentic texts. This course introduces students to a range of new language elements through various topics and real-life language situations in the Korean context. Some of the topics are also discussed in cross-cultural comparison with Australia as well as other countries when applicable. In that way, students are supported in their employability opportunities.
