Course description
JAPN2021 is a foundational course. It consolidates and extends students' knowledge and abilities to use the structure and vocabulary acquired in JAPN1011 and JAPN1012. Students may take JAPN2021 only, or they may take JAPN2022 in the same semester (if offered). Students who have completed any JAPN3*** coded courses are not eligible to enrol in this course. JAPN2021 focuses on developing students' vocabulary, oral production, culturally appropriate language and spontaneous conversation related to several themes such as vacation plans, cultural events and health. Students continue to develop cultural understanding through engaging with a foreign language, and hone effective language study strategies for lifelong learning.
