Course description
This course introduces engineering problem solving through the relationship between theoretical, mathematical and computational modelling for predicting design performance. It also covers the properties and behaviours of engineering materials in design. Students will engage in a major team based multidisciplinary design project to develop first phase virtual and second phase physical prototype solutions. The final system prototype will be physically tested to validate predicted performance in an end of session demonstration.
