Course description
This course offers an introduction to the concept of diversity and to an understanding of inclusive education. Students will learn how schools and classrooms can support students with different needs in inclusive and responsive ways. Consideration is given to individuals with various disabilities and impairments, those with learning difficulties, those with exceptional gifts and talents, those at-risk and those with high support needs. Consideration will also be given to individuals from various backgrounds including race, ethnicity, culture and language. You are required to have a current Blue Card prior to enrolling in this course. Late enrolment (any time up to 4 weeks prior to, or any time after, commencement of the course) may not be accepted.
