Course description
Experimental economics is concerned with testing economic hypotheses & policies in a laboratory setting. Economic laboratory experiments involve finding out whether or not real people actually behave in the way economic theory predicts. This course will examine a number of topics in economics using experimental methods. Topics covered will include: Individual decision-making, market experiments, behavioural finance, experimental auction markets, public goods experiments, experiments in environmental & resource economics, game theoretic experiments.
