Course description

Medical Nutrition Therapy Practice 1 introduces students to the practice of the nutrition management of individuals in acute and ambulatory care settings. Students spend the equivalent of 25 days in placement across the semester, developing competence in the nutrition care process, screening and assessment and the nutrition management of acute and chronically ill people.
