Course description
This course will provide students with foundation studies in Medical Nutrition Therapy, which underpins clinical dietetic practice. The course will commence with an introduction to the nutrition care process, nutrition screening and assessment, followed by modular, case-based workshops which cover a range of acute and chronic conditions. DIET7xxx involves significant pre-preparation for classes, pre-readings and case study preparation. Students will also engage in interprofessional simulation with students from other health care disciplines.
