Course description
This course is designed to introduce non - native speakers of Chinese to practical Chinese>English translation. It will focus on essential linguistic, cultural and practical aspects of translation and, in doing so, will enable students to grasp some of the key practical and ethical issues in this field. Students will be trained to critically reflect on linguistic, cultural, social and translation issues encountered in their translation practice. This course may be cancelled if there are fewer than 20 enrolments.
