Course description

With the advent of social media platforms, social data has been produced at an unprecedented rate in the last decade, offering organizations new avenues for data-driven value creation and capture. This course explores how organizations can develop a social media analytics capability to better listen, understand and interact with their customers in real-time. At the technical level, students will be introduced to concepts and methods of network analysis and natural language processing and will be able to use contemporary software tools to access, analyse and visualise real-world social network data.
