Assessment methods
Research Proposal 80% - Written proposal in the form of major research grant application, preferably with an applied focus. May involve a hypothetical industry partner. NHMRC development grants, ARC linkage grants, or grant applications to international agencies with a similar focus are acceptable formats. Supervisor Discussion and Observational log of research 20% - meetings with supervisor 3-4 times during the semester and keeping of a hardbound logbook for recording research, key ideas, relevant seminar attendance and discussions with your supervisor.
