Course description
Site and Surface: This course expands the scope of architectural design to include site and architectural surface. Techniques of mapping past and present occupation, topography and environmental qualities are used to derive the planning and placement of buildings. Processes of visual composition and techniques for mediating external conditions are employed to achieve responsive and considered facades. Descriptive and interpretive representations using physical and digital models are used
