Course description
This course offers an introduction to the theory and practice of applied anthropology in Australia and comparative international contexts like New Zealand, Canada, and the United States of America. Seminars and workshops will particularly focus on skills for working with Indigenous people and territories, particularly in the areas of native title research, cultural heritage management, and development. Students also have the opportunity to participate in a fieldtrip to an Aboriginal cultural landscape destination to learn about applied anthropology and Indigenous territories in a real-world setting outside the University.
