Course description
ANTH2208 is an advanced, 2 unit course focusing on contemporary approaches to anthropology in and of museums. The course is a critical consideration of selected issues, methods and theories relevant to the anthropology of museums. These issues will be explored through an examination of relevant literature and engagement with the UQ Anthropology Museum collections. There is an integration of theory and practice in this course and a major practical project involving research of an item from the UQ Anthropology Museum collection.
