Course description
This course examines how soils can be managed sustainably to provide the food, products, and services that we rely upon for our survival whilst simultaneously ensuring that these soils are not degraded for future generations. In particular, we will examine conservation agriculture, sustainable irrigation practices, soil fertility, and soil degradation. In addition, we will also examine how soils determine sustainable land use, and give consideration to impacts of soil management on the broader environment.
