Course description
This course is designed to introduce students to basic principles of plant and crop production used in agriculture. Students will gain knowledge of Australian farming systems, limitations and challenges of intensive cropping, weed identification, plant disease and insects, environmental challenges facing agriculture in Australia and explore the role of technology in modern agriculture including crop breeding, yield and modelling systems.
