Why study the Doctor of Veterinary Clinical Science?
The program will provide a learning framework for UQ's veterinary residency program that will prepare veterinarians to sit specialist qualification examinations. Candidates will undertake clinical work in an approved veterinary diagnostic laboratory (for pathology residents) or referral hospital to develop their skills to specialist level. This will form the bulk of the requirements for the coursework component of the training program. The research component will provide a research-training foundation for graduates seeking career paths as clinical academics using an evidence-based medicine foundation.
