- a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline (see below), plus 2 years full-time equivalent relevant work experience (see below), or
- the Graduate Certificate in Finance and Investment Management from UQ (or equivalent), or
- the Graduate Certificate in Commerce from UQ (or equivalent).
You must have a grade point average (GPA) of 4.5 on a 7-point scale in your previous qualification.

Why study the Master of Finance and Investment Management?
The need for specialist knowledge of financial management has never been greater within corporations, financial institutions, and public sector entities. Domestic retirement savings and public sector debt is continuing to rise, as are cyber and geo-political risks. To cope, the financial sector must recognise and embed best practice relating to managing assets across volatile markets, financial risk, payment technologies and responsible investing and lending. The Master of Finance and Investment Management is designed for graduates pursuing careers in the finance sector. You'll gain exposure to innovative investment strategies across liquid and alternative asset classes. You'll learn core fundamentals of portfolio allocation and be introduced to recent technological developments shaping the financial sector. This knowledge will prepare you to navigate complex data across industries to take considered risks backed by financial knowledge, data and research. This program is based in the heart of Brisbane's CBD. The central 308 Queen Street location will help you form valuable connections with industry and academic researchers.

To complete the Master of Finance and Investment Management
To graduate with a Master of Finance and Investment Management a student must have successfully completed all requirements of the program as certified by the Executive Dean.
