What you can study
Our Master of Public Health 2 year program nurtures and educates future public health leaders who can critically reflect, innovate, adapt, build relationships and create change to improve the health and well-being of populations in a changing and inequitable world. Through the pursuit of our program level objectives, we will educate highly sought after job-ready graduates. MPH Program Level Objectives: Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the guiding principles and functions of public health. Apply evidence-based critical, reflective and creative research and practice to address public health priorities. Demonstrate cultural knowledges and ways of understanding required to enhance the health of First Nations peoples. Communicate skilfully with diverse audiences and stakeholders using a variety of methods and modalities. Understand how to advocate for change related to core public health values: social justice, health equity, inclusion, diversity and planetary health. Work in multi-disciplinary teams to protect and promote health and prevent disease in populations within complex local and global systems.

What you can do with a Master of Public Health
Careers
Our graduates are employed in a range of roles across government, non-government and private sector organisations in a range of industries including healthcare services, education, program and project management, community and social services, media and communication and research. The types of roles include policy officer, public health advisor, evaluation manager, program lead, health promotion officer, research assistant, lecturer.

To complete the Master of Public Health
To graduate with a Master of Public Health a student must have successfully completed all requirements of the program as certified by the Executive Dean. This includes courses to be taken to complete the program and any other specific conditions of the program including admission, enrolment and progression requirements.
