The Master of Business Psychology is designed for people wanting to consult to organisations to solve business problems. The program equips you with the core psychology expertise and business acumen essential to enhance individual, team and organisational effectiveness across business, government and not-for-profit settings. This program is designed for those who are interested in using psychological theory and knowledge in business, without seeking registration as a psychologist.

Placement courses
You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and apply your knowledge under your project courses working as part of a team on consultancy projects, and complete internships with external organisations. Placements will be within a reasonable distance of the UQ campus but you should expect to travel up to 60 minutes away. There will be no extra costs for the placements in addition to course fees except for incidentals such as travel and daily expenses.Prior to applying, applicants should ensure they will be able to meet placement requirements outlined on this website.

Additional application requirements
This program has limited intake capacity. Irrespective of professional background, entry to the program will be considered on the basis of previous academic study, experience and personal qualities. Applicants must nominate two referees, include the Additional Application form and CV with their on-line application. Detailed application requirements can be found on the School of Psychology website. Once eligibility is established, entry is via a competitive selection process based on GPA, work experience and an interview. If a person has final semester grades pending in the semester of application, the grades will not be included in the selection process. Late applications may be considered. To complete the Master of Business Psychology
To graduate with a Master of Business Psychology a student must have successfully completed all requirements of the program as certified by the Executive Dean. This includes courses to be taken to complete the program and any other specific conditions of the program including admission, enrolment and progression requirements.
