An approved bachelor honours degree in psychology with honours class I or IIA degree or equivalent four-year program from a recognised tertiary institution.

Applicants must nominate two referees and include a CV with their on-line application. Shortlisted candidates attend an assessment centre, in which they complete a written case study, participate in a group exercise, and are interviewed.

Why study the Master of Business Psychology?
The Master of Business Psychology is designed for people wanting to consult to organisations to solve business problems. The program equips you with the core psychology expertise and business acumen essential to enhance individual, team and organisational effectiveness across business, government and not-for-profit settings.
This program is designed for those who are interested in using psychological theory and knowledge in business, without seeking registration as a psychologist.
What you can study
Your courses provide the knowledge on how make work safer, more satisfying and more productive for individuals, teams and organisations, design high performance work systems and improve the quality of leadership and transform the culture of an organisation. You will gain hands-on experience solving practical problems in business as part of a team on consultancy projects, and complete internships with external organisations.

Placement courses
You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and apply your knowledge under your project courses working as part of a team on consultancy projects, and complete internships with external organisations. Placements will be within a reasonable distance of the UQ campus but you should expect to travel up to 60 minutes away. There will be no extra costs for the placements in addition to course fees except for incidentals such as travel and daily expenses.

What you can do with a Master of Business Psychology
Careers
Graduates with a background in business psychology are sought after for their unique analytical and practical skillset and theoretical understanding. You can work in a range of roles such as organisational development and management consultants, change management specialists, and human factors specialists.
The Master of Business Psychology is not an accredited program for the purposes of psychologist registration.
