Prerequisites
To enrol in the program, a person must -
- hold an approved degree or equivalent with a GPA of 4; or
- have completed post-secondary study and at least five years full-time (or equivalent) professional work experience in the fields of business or economics, as approved by the executive dean; or
- have at least seven years full-time (or equivalent) work experience in the fields of business or economics, as approved by the executive dean.

The following supporting documentation is required for all applications made on the basis of work experience. Please ensure that you have included ALL required documentation when you submit your application.
- Evidence of work experience in the form of a CV. Please ensure that your CV includes your full work history, and outlines the major activities you undertake on a daily basis.
- Two written references that are work related. Your referees need to substantiate the nature of your work and the duties you currently perform.

Why study the Graduate Certificate in Economic Studies?
This qualification provides economics training in core economics principles and concepts and is beneficial to non-economics graduates. To complete the Graduate Certificate in Economic Studies
To fulfil the requirements of the Graduate Certificate in Economic Studies, a student must complete the requisite number of courses chosen from the course list in accordance with the Program Rules.
To complete the program, a student must complete 8 units from the GCEconSt list comprising -

(a) 8 units from part A of the list.
If exemptions apply for Part A courses, students are to undertake electives from Part B. With Head of School approval, a student may include 2 units for any level 7 course towards part B. Refer to the GCEconSt rules for further information.
